What should you do if your girlfriend wants to go to college and she doesn't know if she still wants to be together after years of a relationship?

This often happens with young people, when one goes to college and the other doesn't or they go to different colleges. I think she is being very honest with you, and although she probably will not be looking for another relationship any time soon (too busy studying) she knows it could happen and doesn't want to be unfaithful to you. She also knows she is embarking on new adventures in life and this doesn't always mean there will be another man in her life right away or that she is even thinking of dating much right now. Long distance relationships are very hard to maintain and it takes special people to make this work. I suggest you have a talk with her and ask her why she feels this way. Then go from there. You be a man about it and learn that sometimes you have to let go, painful as it is, you just have to and if it was meant to be, it will, but if not, it won't. Love isn't based on controlling another or manipulating them. That's not love at all. If you love her, you will want her to do what is best for her and what means something to her, that is what REAL love is about. It hurts but it's a part of life.
