Well some times you just have to pretend they aren't there, say your doing a speech pretend that no one is watching you and it's just you. If this doesn't work just believe in yourself!!!! You can do it!!
This may vary from culture to culture. Some cultures don't encourage individualism and speaking up may not be looked upon so favourably in many circumstances. However, my suggestion would be practice. What you are basically trying to overcome is a lack of confidence. See yourself as a confident, important person and strike up a conversation with someone. The internet is kind of good for this because you can practice anonymously. At first, it will be a bit like acting, but practice and feel your confidence build. This confidence will hopefully help you to feel less worried when feeling the need to speak up. Your opinion is no less important than anybody elses, so don't feel afraid to share it. Just be sure to do it in a way that doesn't offend and doesn't show intolerance to others having a differing view.

Why can't I talk to anyone anymore?
