Of course, it depends on the situation, but in The Bible, Christians are told what to do when we have a conflict with someone:

". . . go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over....."(Matthew 18:15-17 NIV) Take the complaint to the person who hurt you, privately.

True Christians will be following Christ's example of love, so should be able to work it out.(1 John 4:11)

At John 13:35 Jesus said 'By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another" (NASB), so true Christians will be identifiable by the love they show. (1 John 4:8)

(Ephesians 4:25-5:2 NWT) "...... become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate, freely forgiving one another just as God also by Christ freely forgave YOU. Therefore, become imitators of God, as beloved children, and go on walking in love, just as the Christ also loved YOU and delivered himself up for YOU ..."

How many years should a pastor have to have his own church?

In most mainstream denominations the congregation "owns" the church not the pastor. Some churches are created by one person who would "own" it, but in most cases the church is not owned by the pastor. I would be weary of a church where the pastor owns it. The when the denomination or congregation owns the church it provides checks and balances to avoid corruption and megalomania by a pastor or sole person running the church. If a person is a secondary worship leader and desires to be a senior pastor, then since most churches seeking a pastor have a "pulpit committee" that would help vet the candidates you would need to seek out churches that need a pastor and talk to the committee that is charges with finding the pastor. Each church has it's own set of requirements. My husband got out of seminary and got a church right away as a senior pastor and we have been at this one and only church for 22 years. Every congregation is unique and you will just have to contact each one like any other job you seek to have with resumes, recommendations etc.

Who is the leader of the church pastor or deacons?

The pastor is a leader like a shepherd. Both the pastor and the deacons can bring recommendations to the congregation but usually the congregation votes on committees and recommendations by the committees. In the churches that I have seen the pastor has lots of influence but the deacons have the clout. When your deacons and pastor are at cross purposes then you are in danger of a split.Pastor or Deacons well who really runs the USA President or the Legislature. It's a balance of power.

What is a baptist church benediction?

A prayer either led by the clergy or a lay person asked by the pastor at the end of the service is the benediction in a baptist church. It should include a thank you to God for being with the congregation during the worship service and a request to lead, guide and direct the congregation when they depart to serve the Lord.

What happens when a Baptist Pastor of a large congregation has an extramarital affair?

everything will be "EXTRA" too.AnswerWell, I'm sure they lose the respect of members of the congregation and has a hard time trying to gain respect back. They are supposed to lead by example and use better judgment. UsuallyThe pastor knows enough Scripture to know that a pastor is supposed to be above reproach and the man of one wife, and that all that all of his personal, physical, and emotional needs are met by his wife, as God intended and intends now. If he had an affair, that is sin, as it is adultery (as it is one of the Ten Commandments of Moses in Exodus), and he should step down graciously, so as not to desecrate the holy nature of the church nor defame the pastor's position, as well as try to salvage his integrity and the remnants of his good name.If he stays pastor, the chances of him having a truly Godly congregation that looks and listens to him as they did before they knew as slim to nil.If a pastor has an affair, it is unbelievably rare for it to be just a slip up, as it is far too often the proverbial tip of the iceberg, or the tab to the can of worms.Whether he is pastor of a large or small congregation is irrelevant, as it is the sin itself that is considered here. The leaders of the congregation would be justified in expecting him to leave the position as he has disqualified himself from office and the damage is done. That is quite separate, though, to the possibility of him repenting and being forgiven for those sins and restored to fellowship in the future. This does not mean he would be eligible for the ministry again as some of the other requirements for office would be difficult for him to meet.Answer:He is no longer qualified for the ministry and must be removed from office. He may no longer hold an ordained position nor be a leader in the church.
