Flowers: You can get inexpensive flats of pansies, petunias, or other bedding plants at a nursery or hardware store and have the primary kids, youth, or scouts plant them in pots (these can be obtained for $1 or less if you plan ahead and order in bulk from an online retailer). Or, you may be able to find slightly nicer flowers already planted in pots. Remember that women appreciate nice packaging - put a ribbon around the pot or a stick with a "Happy Mother's Day" sign in the dirt.
