after the first 3 days of using ointment, the remaining 7-14 days use lubriderm when your tattoo is starting to peel and looks dry.
you can put polysporin or ozonol they both work good but just a thin layer of it just enough to say it's there like it should soke into your skin in like 3 minutes if not it will suck the ink out of your tattoo hope this helps
Yes you should be applying a light layer of unscented ointment / lotion 2-4 times a day until your tattoo heals. You're tattoo is still healing as it's going through the pealing stage and it can take 2-4 weeks for a tattoo to heal.
You want a good thick lotion once your tattoo has healed. If it is a new tattoo, use an antibiotic ointment or cream to help it heal faster without scarring.
Aquaphor
Never, use aquaphor!
Get it off quickly and don't do it again, use moisturisers instead because vaseline can blur and blotch your tattoo if it is applied early after you got your tattoo
I think that you should get a tattoo where it means the most to you. You can still have a visible tattoo and cover it when you need to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6ZfPz98Jv0
She should get one on her arm or back.
Small, relatively simple tattoos, heal pretty fast... 4, 5 days. Larger pieces take a bit more time. Up to two weeks. The skin is damaged by the tattoo needle going in and out and the skin reacts in just about the same way as it reacts so a sunburn. That is what a fresh tattoo feels like. So the first days can be pretty painful. After a few days you're okay... and than the worst part comes: it'll start to itch... and you shouldn't scratch! Opionions differ about the aftercare. I advise to wash the tattoo gently after an hour or two, no soap, and put a little bit of vaseline on it. Do that for at least 3, 4 days. Washing without soap, and put some vaseling onto it. That doesn't do anything for the skin, except for keeping it from getting infected. Don't have to put any vaseline on it after the first week. After two weeks the tattoo should be fully healed.
It will take a lot longer to heal. I know from experience as i never put cream on my tattoos. Also the cream keeps your skin moisturised and keeps the colour in your tattoo from fading so you don't have to go and get it touched up....which is a lot more painful than getting it done in the first place lol
Clean it, put a band-aid on it, wait for it to heal, and DON'T PICK!
