Usually you can give them a quick scrub with tap water and a tooth brush that's specifically used for the aquarium decorations.
If the decorations are covered in heavy algae, then you can use some bleach, but it must be 1 part bleach to 9 parts water (so 1 cup of bleach to 9 cups of water) in a bucket. Let them soak for as long as needed to clean them. Then you need to do a lot of rinsing, and for the final rinse, cover them completely in clean water, and add about a capful of your aquarium water conditioner, then let them sit overnight.
Finally, give them yet more rinses just to be safe, and you can add your clean decorations back to your tank.
Once a week :))))) i have experience
you should never clean your fish tank with washing -up liquid or eny thing like that only a sponge that is new and water
every other week
Well, first, your eggs should be in a separate tank from all the other fish, ok? Then, when you clean the tank with the goldfish eggs, I usually never clean out the water completely. I usually just dump out 25% of the water and replace it with clean water. I'm sure no harm to the goldfish eggs will be done if you do partial water changes, and partial water changes are all you ever will need. However, if you REALLY need to clean out the tank completely, usually goldfish lay their eggs on aquatic plants or objects. If you move the plant or the object to another little tank or a safe place while you clean out the tank, I'm sure there will be no problem. When your done, just replace the plant/object into the finished tank.
about half an hour to an hour
You should not have goldfish and platies in the same tank ever.
Provided that you do not have a singletail goldfish in your tank as they are faster more aggressive swimmers. Also make sure you check all your tank decorations to ensure that the fish cannot harm themselves on anything sharp or pointy.
No actually. When I got my baby goldfish, he was fine in a large glass tank with a filter, a bunch of colorful rocks, and a bunch of decorations. Just don't put he/she in a tank with goldfish that are older, bigger, or goldfish that ur new baby goldfish just doesn't know because, believe it or not, goldfish can be aggressive. They can also be very territorial. I hoped I helped alot. Ur Welcome. :)
It is important to remember to put things in a goldfish tank, even goldfish get bored. Some of my suggestions for tank decor are artificial plants and a "hidey hole" for your goldfish.
they might get the "ICK" or they can get sick from there bowl or tank not being clean
no. you should have 10gal of water per goldfish. you shouldn't have goldfish in a 5gal tank at all. they are huge waste producers
no it isn't really, but you have to clean it regularly to make sure it is very clean for them
