What should you wear on your first day of middle school?

Choose your favorite t-shirt or cute top. Or to mix it up, go to the mall and pick up something different to mix up your look.

For accessories, buy a few cheap necklaces, bracelets, or rings that can be worn with other outfits too. One of my favorite accessory stores is Forever 21.

Ask a friend:

If you like your friend's style, ask to borrow one or two pieces for the first day. You can also swap clothes throughout the year to get some new things, instead of buying expensive stuff from the mall.

Also, ask a friend what they're wearing. Coordinate your outfits, but don't wear the exact same thing. Get an honest opinion from them.

Other tips:

Most schools are pretty casual and not a lot of people don't wear fancy stuff every day. Every once in a while I wear dresses or skirts, but for the most part, I wear jeans, cute tops, t-shirts, shorts, and sandals.

If you have the opportunity to, go to your school. Take notice of the temperature. If it's uncomfortably hot or cold, dress accordingly. Layers are a great idea!

Don't show too much skin. (No super-short skirts or shorts, nothing low cut). You'll look like you're trying too hard, and it just isn't a good look for anyone. Stay within your school's dress code or uniform rules.

well, on your first day you want to make a good impression...so, i would wear skinny jeans, flats, a tank top kind of thing (look on the website for forever 21 under the subject of "camis and tanks"), then wear one of those "boyfriend" cardigans (again, look at forever 21 website under the subject of "cardigans"). make sure you do not wear socks with flats. and don't button the sweater thing. maybe wear like the big sunglasses (on the top of your head).

You should think about the weather and find out if your middle school is air-conditioned or not. There is nothing worse than wearing a warm outfit and discovering that the school is hot. Most people say that you should NOT wear brand new clothes to school on the first day because you will seem overly anxious. Wear something comfortable and nice, nothing extreme. Most people are nervous on the first day, so it is likely that nobody except you will remember what you wore on the first day.

Be sure to check the dress code for your school and wear clothing that meets the dress code. You don't want be warned about your clothes on the first day.
