Basically you should say why you are writing, e.g.
Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing to express an interest in any suitable roles with (company name) as I am very keen to work for you. I am currently available for work (immediately/in 4 weeks time/as appropriate) and attach my C.V. for your attention.
Thank you for your time and I would be pleased to hear from you using the contact details below.
