No. But you do have to support the engine from underneath and remove passenger side motor mount.
Yes.
I went to the wrecking yard to answer this question. The starter is on the front of the engine below the last spark plug on the left side. You can see it from below. The motor mount may be in the way. I am still trying to find out how many bolts there are.
2.5L and 3.0L, inside the distributor. 3.3L, pass side of engine, under the coil, near the motor mount.
On a six cylinder the starter is on the front of the engine, behind the motor mount. On the four cylinder, the starter is on the rear under the intake manifold.
Well. if its your front mount, then you jack up the engine, your mount is located at the very front, at the bottom, then you remove the single bolt that goes through the mount, remove the mount, and installation is the reverse of removal.
Use a jack with a board on top to support the engine. Loosen the bolts for the motor mount. Raise the engine slightly then take the bolts out and remove the motor mount. Install the new mount, tighten the bolts, then remove the jack.
Its located on the side of the transmission, real simple to replace.
in removing motor mount what bolts need to be removed. This is a 1998 biuck regal 3.8L, and I am not sure how to remove the motor mount.
No. The engine mount may be in the way depending on the engine.
