How do you charge touareg v10 battery?

Open the bonnet/hood. Stand at the front of the car facing the rear. There is a long black panel on the right hand side of the engine cover. There are two plastic cross head screws at the rear of this panel. Turn them 90 degrees anticlockwise and remove the now loose panel. At the rear towards the windscreen you will see a red cover which is over the positive terminal, hinge it back towards the windscreen. To its right you will see another bare metal terminal which is the negative. Attach your charger to these terminals positive to positive and negative to negative. This charges your service battery. The service battery is under itself is under the passenger seat in Right hand drive cars. There is another engine start battery in the boot/trunk which is readily accessible. I believe the electronics will start the car from the service battery if it is charged but the engine start battery is flat.

How do you remove the battery panel on a 2005 Chrysler sebring?

The easiest way is to raise the left front of the car, place a jack stand under the frame, then remove the left front wheel. In the front of the wheel well, between the front headlight, there is a plastic cover that is held in with plastic push pins and Phillips head screws around the fender. Remove all the pins and screws and remove the panel to expose the battery. The battery may have a heater pad around it. To remove the battery, first remove the negative cable on the connector under the hood and on the left front of the shock absorber housing. Now, go to the battery and loosen the two hold down nuts on top of the center top of the battery holder, then remove the negative cable first. This will cause the negative cable to be free and fall out. Now, remove the positive cable from the battery and your battery should be ready to come out.

How do you install a starter solenoid on a 1993 ford Lincoln town car?

The solenoid is next to the battery on the side of the engine compartment attached by a couple screws. To locate it, follow the wire from the battery. On the negative cable of the battery, there is another wire clipped to it. Follow that up to the solenoid. 1) Disconnect the positive battery cable from the battery 2) disconnect the 2 wires from the visible screws on the old solenoid, and gently pull the third wire (located lower than the other two on the solenoid. 3) remove the 2 screws holding the old solenoid in place. 4)Screw in the new solenoid, and make sure that the 3 wires attach to exactly where they were on the old one. If the third wire is on top it is installed wrong, flip it over. 5) reconnect the positive battery cable. on some Lincoln such as that the solenoid is on the starter under the car would have to remove the starter to remove the solenoid. best off getting whole starter with solenoid.

Can you use a screwdriver to make an electromagnet?

Yep, all you got to do is get some copper wire and a 9 volt battery, and wrap the wire repeatedly around the metal part of the screwdriver, and connect the wire one end to the positive terminal of the battery, the other to the negative end, then let it sit for an hour or two and the screwdriver will now be able to better grip screws and such.

What needs to be reset if the battery is disconnected in a Volvo S40?

This worked on my 2001 Volvo S40 1.9 T. Dated 2011-05-30 As far as I know only the clock and the radio code need to be reset when the battery is disconnected. Warning, use this procedure only if not working with any fuel related issues which I guess would mostly be when you replace the car's battery. Connect the plus side of a small 12 volt battery via alligator clips to the small positive wire that attaches to the car battery and the negative of the small battery to a convenient place on the engine block. Positive to positive and negative to the engine block. Then remove the battery clamp screws and remove the battery. This might work even with a small 9 volt battery like the kind used in a smoke detector but I have not tried this so be aware. Replace the car battery, tighten the battery claps and remove the alligator clips and the small battery. Alternatively buy a gizmo that plugs into the cigarette lighter / power outlet and turn the key to the 1 or 2 position (not sure) although I have never tired this. Good luck Brian VE6IMB

Where is the positive charge point on a Honda Shadow battery?

my shadow 600 vlx has the battery under the side cover on the right side of the bike. You must first remove the side cover, then there are two screws-phillips head type that you will see on another cover. remove them and the positive terminal is just under the cover. Make sure that the lead wire to the battery is red to identify it as the positive terminal. Just hook your ground to the frame or a bolt somewhere to charge the battery. Later,
