A Reese hitch is a brand of trailer hitch or trailer parts. They make all sorts of different types of trailer parts and hitches, so it would depend which part you are looking for.
A permanently installed trailer hitch attached to the frame would be the best if you are using a trailer regularly. There are temporary hitches available if the trailer is a very occasional or one time use.
EBay is the best site online that I would choose to find a used trailer hitch. They have online auctions on anything and everything and the highest bidder wins.
A trailer hitch can be bought at stores like Walmart, Pep Boys, or U-Haul. Going to an automotive store like Pep Boys in person would be most efficient in finding the best fitting hitch.
No, this hitch is no longer being used in North America and would need to be replaced with a square receiver in order to use bike racks and the like.
Your local garage will almost certainly be able to procure a trailer hitch for you, even if they don't have one in stock. This would be the easiest solution, and although it may not be the cheapest, means you are dealing with people you know.
I have a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT (Wagon) and haven't been able to find a hitch. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? If I am able to find a hitch, I would then try to get the Outback trailer hitch wiring harness from my Subaru dealer. I would expect the wiring in the two cars to be the same, but I suppose they could be different. I noticed the Legacy wagons don't have the rear 12 volt jack that the Outbacks have. This is something I'd like to add too for one of those electric coolers. That would be nifty I think. Thanks . . .
where are hidden vin numbers for 1979 jayco camper
The truck requires a 2 inch receiver. The attachments would be matched to the trailer.
depends on the V8 and towing package, also what speed you will be traveling at. I have a grand Cherokee with a tow capacity of 7400lbs but that is with a weight distribution hitch and electric brakes on the trailer. Once I get over about 21-23ft long with a cargo trailer or travel trailer it is white knuckle driving at highway speeds (65mph) If I keep it at 50mph not much of an issue. I would recommend a slightly larger tow vehicle or a shorter trailer.
It would depend on the size/weight of the travel trailer. More info needed.
well you by a hitch appropriate to the tong of your trailer (standard is 1 and 7/8 inches). you then mount it on your rear bumper, it took me awhile to find a hitch that would fit in the whole on the bumper, but if you go to a mechanics he can drill it out and make anything fit.
