No, it will not. NONE of the body panels will interchange. The Monte Carlo was a 2 door body fitted to a 4 door Chevelle frame. The doors and hood are considerably longer and have VERY different body lines.
Don't see many of those, but I have one.
No, they're 2 totally different bodystyles
It should fit. Although you will most likely have to remove the old shock, sway bar, and spring mountings and weld them on to the other diff. Also check the length of the chevy. diff.

Upper pulley - remove nut on generator shaft. The nut, bell-shaped washer, extra shims, pulley half, used shims, and inner pulley half come off in that order. More shims between the pulley halves will loosen the belt. Fewer shims will tighten it. Put the leftover shims under the bell shaped washer so they'll be around when you put on a new, tight belt. Lower pulley - Put the car in 4th gear and remove the bolt (it's right handed) If the pulley is really stuck, you might need a gear puller to get it off.
not sure but i do know Pontiac changed the design of the timing covers and water pumps in 1970 for cooling purposes,on the 400.but they didnt come out with the 455 till that year i believe.i know what your talking about because i made the mistake of puting a1970 timing cover on my 68 Bonneville and i have to change it back.if the timing covers are the same you can take the one off the 400 and use that but i don't know if they are the same.Turn the pulley around on the shaft and see if that makes things fit better. You are correct the 455 was introduced in 1970. The 11 bolt water pump was introduced in 1969 to replace the 8 bolt previous pumps. You must change the timing cover and water pump together as the earlier and later styles will not work together. You would need the water pump, timing cover from the 1968 400. -Bonn-evil
Mustang GT Cobra Its sporty, its fun, its a muscle car, and they usually run around 24,000 new and 14,000 used.Stay away from Ford, they typically have fatal flaws with their engines and electrical systems. This is due to lazy construction. Most MOPAR muscle cars are going to cost over $30k although they were known as "clunkers" back in the day because they were made from cheap metal that often rusted away. Quality and affordable muscle cars produced by GM are known to have the most satisfaction. The motors designed by Chevrolet and Pontiac set the standards for the entire muscle car era. Pontiac actually developed an early "HEMI" motor by using a hemispherical combustion chamber but it was not used in production and MOPAR took advantage of this idea. Depending on what level of restoration you are looking for and how much you want to spend up to the $30k range, here are some suggestions:1968-1972 Chevy Chevelle1967-1970 Chevy Camaro1967-1970 Pontiac Firebird1968-1970 Chevy NovaI personally own a 1969 Firebird that I restored myself and I have recently started a1970 Camaro Z-28 project.
