It is a Metric size so you need metric sockets. Just keep trying different size sockets until you find the correct one.
You unscrew the bolts.......
If it is a 2.8 it has 2
There are 2 bolts that hold the starter in place and 2 nuts that hold the wiring to the solenoid.
it is easy if you remove the exhast so you can get to the starter bolts
follow the positive battery cable down to the starter solinoid which is mounted to the starter motor, the starter motor should be on the same side as the battery is. good luck
The starter is mounted on the passenger side of the transmission. It has one wire connected to it (with a small bolt) and there are two bolts holding the starter in.
Disconnect the - battery cable raise and support vehicle Disconnect wiring harness at top of starter Remove mounting bolts Remove starter
Disconnect the - battery cable Lift and safely secure vehicle Remove wires from starter Remove mounting bolts Drop starter
Drivers side engine block above starter.
Look in front of the motor,under muffler pipes,there you will find the starter motor.Take two mounting screws out and remove wire.
Loose cables, bad battery, alternator or starter.
There are 6 bolts that holds the transmission to the engine.
