Break light bulb has two spirals in it - one for back lights and one for brake lights. Replace the bulb. By the way, this is not a Maxima specific question

You can replace the marker lights on a 2008 GMC Yukon Denali by removing the retaining screws and disconnecting the wiring harness. The bulb can then be unscrewed and a new bulb put in place.
Front marker lights can be changed by removing front headlight assembly. To remove pull up on two metal clips behind light assembly and unplug wires. The side marker lights are now accessable. Turn bulb socket ccw to remove.
The license plate lights are not in a separate fuce by it seft. They are the same as your side marker lights. So, check if your side marker lights are working and if they are them is a bad license plate light bulb.

If the bulb is a double filament bulb, one of the filaments is burned out.

The marker lights and brake lights run on two different circuits, and usually light up two different filaments on the bulb. If both tail lights are out, either a fuse is blown, a wire is compromised, or both marker light filaments on the bulbs are broken.
There is a shorted wire or bulb in that circuit.
