You can use any blade on any clipper, so long as you use the correct size.
It might be the type of blade you're using. If the coat is matted, you'll need a different blade, a number 7 works well for matted coats. I have an Oster clipper so, obviously, I use an Oster blade. I'm not sure what number the blade should be for an Andis clipper. The blade info should tell you what the blades use is suited for. If the coat isn't matted, you might still have to check into the best type of blade for your use.
Most of the groomers would use a #10 blade for Schnauzer dogs.

Your answer depends on the size of the blade and its ultimate use.
The Yardman Series push mower uses a 21 inch blade.
You should decide on the function of the knife, and select the knife to meet the job. Survival knives tend to be big and mean looking, as if they were looking for a fight. This often makes them too large to be of most practical use. Choose a size and blade design to fit the expected job.

You body clip a horse using heavy duty animal clippers such as Oster A5's. There are different blade sizes for different parts of the horse or whether you want a close clip or a longer clip. You usually use a 10 blade on the body and a finer blade on the face and head. Bathe your horse to remove all dirt on the coat. A dirty coat dulls your clipper blades and can leave clipper marks on your horses coat that remains after the clip. You can begin clipping wherever you would like on the horses body. Going against the hair clip it off in short sections to avoid overheating the blade and burning your horses skin. Clean the blade often with a lubricant that cleans and cools the blade. If the blade starts to get dull change it out with a new one. If the weather is still cold when you clip your horse be sure to blanket him afterward.
