depending on the year and model of Dakota you could get anything from a 283 (4.7L magnum) 360 (5.9L RT models) and a little six cylinder. along with a few other sizes.
The 3.6L 4.7L and 5.9L are the basic enginge sizes found in Dakotas from 2000 on, and on a handful of other years. Not sure when the ditched the 4cyl and when they changed over to the other motors. Hope that helps.
dodge didnt put a 5.7 in there dakotas. you either have a 4.7 or a 5.9. is its the 5.9 its on the side of the throttle body.
