Check the bulb and voltage coming out of the socket. If there is no voltage then the jumper wire may be bad. Just run a new wire from the working headlight to the non working headlight.
The '93 sentra's use generally composite headlights. Did just one headlight go out? If so it would not be the headlight relay located in the engine compartment, as both lights would be out. With the hood up, the backside of your troubled headlight should have a plastic round locking type fastener the wires go into with the bulb and socket. Undo the outer plastic ring to disconnect the bulb from the headlight, then unsnap the tab that the bulb and socket use to separate them, inspect the bulb filaments for visible signs of breakage, get a second opinion from your auto parts store if you are unable to tell. More than likely it's the bulb that has gone out.
The headlight bulb is the part to replace on the 96 Sentra, unless the whole headlight unit was damaged. I suggest buying the bulbs in pairs and replace them both. Then you don't have to do the whole process over in a month when the other bulb goes! The Sentra's bulbs are held in by a wire clip. Looks like it was made from an old coat hanger. Its a tad tricky to get it to unhinge, but it will pop open. Just unplug the old bulb and pop the new one in. Then fiddle with the wire until its clipped back into place. Do this in the daylight because its no fun trying to play with that darn wire in the dark, trust me!
