follow the top hose leading you from your radiator to your engine you should see a silver clamp holding the hose to what we call the housing , the housing has two screws with nuts on them use the right socket size to remove to change your thermostat which sits inside the housing
You may have to find a thin-walled spark plug socket.

You should find more of these tools at SEARS or your favorite car parts dealer. You will need a spark plug wrench with an extension to replace the spark plugs in a 1998 Nissan Sentra. They are under the ignition coils. 5/8" socket and 8 " extension.
On an '87 it screws into the block right beside the thermostat and apparently requires a special Socket (Alltrade 648830 Nissan Coolant Temp. Sensor Socket)
see owner's manual, if you don't have a owner's manual you will need a star screw driver, and a socket set, and a magnet. remove screws and use your socket to loosen the spark plug and then use magnet to pull out old spark plug,put new one in and tighten up, and put cover back on and put screw back in,and repeat for next 3. (this is for 1.8L)
A 21 MM socket for the wheel nuts or your own Wheel Brace. A 14 mm spanner to remove the caliper retaining bolts and a large water pump pliers or special tool to push back the piston inside the caliper.
Check the bulb and voltage coming out of the socket. If there is no voltage then the jumper wire may be bad. Just run a new wire from the working headlight to the non working headlight.
