under the jeep your transfer case remove the bolt with an Allen hole in it with and Allen socket. the fluid should run out of the hole. if you remove the bottom bolt you will drain your transfer case. if you remove the top bolt then you will be able to check it and will not have to refil it.
Remove the socket head bolt (drain plug) on the xmsn pan (faces right front tire) to drain the trans fluid. This bolt is removed with a socket wrench only (no socket). Clean the bolt while fluid is draining (has a magnetic end which attracts metal particulates). Replace drain plug. Refill thru dipstick tube. This will replace about 80% of the trans fluid.
Get a socket and ratchet and rotate the tensioner bolt counter-clockwise
its that bolt at the rear of the oil pan.
If it is a Manual 5spd. Then their is a fill bolt and a drain bolt. The drain bolt can be only taken off with an 3/8" socket wrench. And the top fill bolt which is all next to the passenger side axle. The bolt should be a 17mm.
Oil drain bolts on most vehicles vary from 7/16 to 5/8. Take a crescent wrench under with you to check, then compare the size to a regular socket and use it.
what is the bolt pattern for a 1987 Chevy silverado
The drain bolt is at the front of the car on the right side (driver side) of the pan 19mm socket the filter is directly above the drain bolt. Make sure you position the pan with enough room since the oil will come out about 6-8" beyond the drain plug.

There is a bolt in the lower part of the tank near the back driver tire, it is covered with undercoating spray; clean it off then use a 17mm socket wrench to remove the bolt (be sure to relieve the pressure by removing the gas cap before loosening the bolt)
It is in the oil pan and that is bolted on the bottom of the engine. Just look around the bottom of the oil pan and you will see a bolt in it. And that will be it.
The oil drain plug is located on the underside of the engine directly below the filler hole. The head of the bolt will need a 17mm socket to remove.
