Anywhere from green, to dark yellow, to quite a variety of colors! It really depends on the species.
The Water moccasin has the alternative name of 'Cotton-mouth'. The inside of the snake's mouth is white, while the rest of its body is a mixture of dark green, brown, dark grey or yellow.

Depending on how dark the green was, the yellow would make the green lighter or it would be absorbed by the dark green as if you didn't mix anything into it. The darker a colour is the harder it is to lighten.
