There is no natural way to get too much lithium so I am assuming you are referring to taking too much of the medication. As an interesting historical fact, the soft drink 7Up contained lithium from the time of its introduction in 1929 until 1950. It may have been named "7Up" because of its mood stabilizing effects (a "pick me up" for people with depression).
