I think the song you are referring to is "Sunny Side Up" by Michael Sembello and Richard Rudolph. It is also credited as being sung by Bo Bo Yama feat. Michael Sembello, but Google is pretty empty when trying to find an mp3 of it, or any record of Bo Bo Yama.
It is one of the songs on the soundtrack for The Big Green (1995), but I have not found it on any other album.
