Most of the songs from the 60's concerned (Vietnam) war, even if they didn't mention the war itself: Sonny and Cher's music didn't mention Vietnam, but contained the lyrics, "...how many times must a cannon ball fly, before they're forever banned..."; some examples that were more in the "open" about the war: Country Joe and the Fish ("Come on Mother's thru out the land, pack your boys off to Vietnam..."); Yellow River, by Christie; "Bring the Boys Home", by Freda Payne; "Run Thru the Jungle", by CCR; "Sky Pilot"; "Ohio", by Crosby, Stills, and Nash (and Young).
