After South Carolina (Dec.1860), six more seceded by the time of Lincoln's inauguration: Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Georgia.

After the firing on Fort Sumter, another four seceded: Tennessee, Arkansas, Virginia, North Carolina.

Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas,North Carolina, and Tennessee all seceded during the first half of 1861. South Carolina was the only state to secede in 1860.
