Apart from the scripted ( or liturgical- worship- word-work) they don"t like the theatrical sounding script, the Best man is not an active participant in the Sacrament strictly speaking it is between the Priest, Man, and Wife. By the way nobody is called Mister or any other courtesy titles- this may explain why Hitler never tied the knot- the very words : Do You Adolf? would have been way out of protocol- well maybe that"s just as good.
