George Washington did not sign the Declaration of Independence. Representatives from all thirteen original colonies signed it, George Washington was not one of them. Some of the more well known men that did sign it was, Thomas Jefferson (Virginia) and John Hancock (Massachusetts, and Hancock was the first signature on the Declaration!) Benjamin Franklin also signed it (Pennsylvania).
George Washington NEVER represented any State. As US President, he served all of what was then The United States of America. Remember, back then, the US had fewer States than today.
