Four of the eight states of the Upper South - Tennessee, Arkansas, North Carolina and Virginia - had not declared for the Confederacy before Sumter. They did after.
The four states that seceded after the fall of Fort Sumter were: Virginia, April 17th,1861 Arkansas, May 6th 1861 Tennessee, May 6th, 1861 North Carolina, May 20th, 1861.
Both sides the confederayte and the Union were full of anger beacuse the Confederates won so they decided to fight back and so it went on and formedinto the graet civil war
Sutter's fort is still standing and it never did "fall." No battles took place at the fort. It was built for people who came to CA to settle. Today, it is a state park and you can tour the fort.

The Southern state of Florida was the second US state to secede, not the third one. Before the bombardment of the Federal Fort Sumter in Charles harbor in April of 1861, seven states were part of the secession. Four others joined after the fall of Fort Sumter.
Virginia seceded from the Union after the Fort Sumter attack because they believed the attack violated the Constitution. They felt slavery was protected by the Constitution and the state. As a slave holding state, they believed an attack on state sovereignty by a federal force was an assault on the freedom of property and political representation.
By a special Proclamation, Lincoln declared the existence of an insurgency, and asked the State Governors 75,000 volunteers to repress it.
Gravity
Historians differ as to President Lincoln's actual intentions, but his (well-publicized) decision to send a resupply fleet to Fort Sumter in April of 1861 did in fact lead the South to fire the shots that sparked the formal start of the Civil War. Lincoln's response to the fall of Ft. Sumter was aggressive and decisive in several ways: it galvanized the war effort of the North and pushed additional Southern states to secede from the Union.

Arkansas did secede after the fall of Fort Sumter in April 1861. The stated rationale was always given as states rights versus federal power because that sounded better then pro or anti slavery.
