Native Americans were already settled in North America long before the creation of any U.S. state. Native Americans were settled near the 13 colonies when they transformed into the United States of America.

Many Native American nations, tribes, and groups were removed to Indian Terrirtory in the 1800s. Indian Terrirtory would later be transformed into the U.S. state of Oklahoma in 1907. One of the earliest accounts of Native Americans becoming part of the state (Mississippi) was the Choctaw; a provision in a treaty allowed them to become U.S. citizens.

The first Native American State is lost in antiquity. When Christopher Columbus arrived, there were hundreds, maybe thousands, of Native states.

Native American Indians migrated from what we knew then was the far east so 10 thousand years ago. The prevailing theory is that they crossed a "landbridge" that connected Alaska with Russia during the ice age.

One standard model says that the first migrants to the North American continent came across the then-existing ice bridge that connected what is now Russia with what is now Alaska.
