calcium oxide is injected into the final stage of the scubber, wich then reacts with the sulfur dioxide to form calcium sulfite.
Sulfur is added to gun powder as a fuel; also adding sulfur the rate of ignition of the explosive is greater.
ethyle mercaptans are the substance added to LPG
when acid is added to a substance in the pH, the substance rises in a pressurized state
Sulphur (Sulfur) is added to rubber in the process known as vulcanization.
The unknown substance would have to be a basic solution. At least more basic than the initial solution. The pH scale ranges from 0,Most acidic, to 14, Most Basic. If the pH of your solution increases when the unknown substance is added, then it would lead you to believe that the added substance is of a basic nature.
When an acidic substance is added to water, it forms an acid. Examples of this kind of chemical reaction include: Sulfur Dioxide + Water --> Sulfurous Acid SO2 + H2O --> H2SO3

Since sulfur is in food it can be in water also.
Sulfur powder will float on the surface of the water.
When Oxygen is added to a substance it is called oxidation.

I think it is sulfur... not sure though. you should check. that's just what I am guessing since it is very flammable, and could be used to kill insects if certain substances were added to it. As for rubber tires it could be added to another substance too and could make a rubbery material such as these tires. Although I am unsure, I am pretty sure it is sulfur or something related to sulfur in this case. I hope my answer helped you.
Yes or No
Yes, steel consists of carbon and iron mainly and usually traces of sulfur. To avoid the deleterious effects of sulfur, manganese is usually added which forms MnS and improves the performance. To make this stainless, chromium at minimum 10% is then added.
When heat is added to a substance, the molecules and atoms vibrate faster.
The main product is sulfur dioxide, which smells like rotten eggs and when added to water forms sulfurous acid. In the presence of a catalyst sulfur trioxide forms, which when added to water makes sulfuric acid.
