What suggestions do have for the framers of the Constitution?

If by that you want a listing of the framers, according to their prominence and/or the importance of their contributions, that is doable. But I don't see any reason for making suggestions to folks who didn't need me in 1787 and surely don't need me now! Anyway the most prominent of the government theorists was James Madison (VA) who, by the time of the Constitutional Convention in 1787, had amassed the greatest knowledge of world governments and a vast compilation of useful government procedures all the way from ancient times. Roger Sherman (CT) was very important because he found ways to bring about compromises which the larger and smaller states could accept. Alexander Hamilton (NY) was the only New Yorker to sign the Constitution because he had some strict, non-yielding methods for raising US Government revenue and helping us reduce our war debt. The two most prominent members of the Constitutional Convention took no active role in proposing ideas that clearly favored small states or large states, and yet: as President of the Convention Washington (VA) was able to keep the strict and sometimes explosive debaters from destroying the Convention itself, and Benjamin Franklin (PA) worked behind the scenes to gain the individual delegates' approval for many critical compromises.
