Well Re also spelled Ra was a solar GOD from Heliopolis and a major deity all over Egypt and the Egyptians claim that every day he traveled over the sky in his boat with his sun-disc and as a creator all humans were created from Ra's tears or sweat and what symbolized him was his sun-disc and he stood for the rising sun life,rebirth,children,health,virility,etc.
