  1. Stirring up hatred, for example by saying that most Jews were Communists and were part of a vast conspiracy to dominate the world.
  2. Making it increasingly difficult for the Jews to earn a living in Germany.
  3. Denying them the protection of the law. The pogrom of 9 November 1938 (Night of the Broken Glass) made it clear that they could be beaten up and even killed in full view of the police.

Please see the related question, which gives much more detail.
Firstly Hitler and the Nazis tried to encourage the Jews to emigrate to some other country, secondly the Jews were forced to re-locate, to Poland and the east.

Well. Hitler did many bad things to the Jewish population but one of the worst things he did was take the Jews and cramp them inside a small room and turn on poisonous gasses which suffocated the Jews.

Hitler used progressive and systematic stages to destroy the Jews:

· Laws were passed that forced them to have identity cards showing that they were Jews.

· Laws were passed laws that prohibited Jews from public jobs (including teaching).

· Launched a campaign to encourage the public to boycott their business.

· Passed a law mandating that Jews wear a Star of David patch on their outer clothing and painted on the outside of their businesses so that they could be identified by the public as Jews.

· Government sanctioned harassment such as assault and destruction of property.

· Laws ordering all Jews to move into walled off sections of the city, called ghettos, where there were no goods or services; they were only permitted to leave with special authorization documents. Many died of starvation and diseases that went through the crowded population. All of their property, furnishing, and bank accounts were confiscated or taken by their neighbors.

· Gossip was an important tool used by the Nazis. People other than Jews, such as disabled, homosexuals, people of several other ethnic origins, and people identified as "deviant" were turned in to authorities as were those that harbored or assisted anyone from one of these groups. Many others were either turned in by their families or neighbors, or if the officials heard rumors linking someone to one of these groups, that person was arrested and killed or transported.

· Jews that did not live in cities were transported to these ghettos or if that was inconvenient, were gathered up in their town or village, shot, and dumped into mass graves.

· Meanwhile, they had been building work camps and concentration camps and setting up a system of transportation to move the Jews into them.

· As the Nazis entered and took control of the surrounding territories and countries, the same processes were used to dispose of the Jews and other undesirables from those areas.

· Jews sent to work camps had to work long days with starvation rations; when they died or could no longer work, were shot and buried in pits. Eventually, the work camp inmates were sent to concentration camps.

· Because of the huge numbers transported, a selection process was set up as trucks and trainloads of people arrived at the concentration camps. The elderly, disabled, children under 10 or 12, and the less able bodied were sent directly from the transport to the gas chambers and ovens to be destroyed.

· The only stop before the gas chamber was to remove all their clothing, eyeglasses, and jewelry, any gold dental work was pulled from their mouths, and their hair cut off. After they were killed, all of these things, including any other personal property they had brought to the camp were sent to warehouses, sorted and sold. Except the gold, of course, which the Nazis kept. Trainloads of these goods were shipped out of the camps. When allied troops arrived at the camps they found whole box cars just filled with hair or eyeglasses or purses.

· The more able bodied were sent to barracks to be used for various purposes. They were used as labor for everything from keeping house for the camp Nazis and personnel to taking the bodies from the gas chambers to the ovens to be incinerated and then bury whatever was left. Another purpose the able bodied were used for was medical experiments.

· Once the "able bodied" could no longer work, died of starvation or disease, as space permitted, were then sent to the gas chambers and crematorium also.

· Every branch of the military and government of the Nazi regime had a role in this process, with the complicity of German industry and commerce.

This is how you kill an estimated 11-17 million people in 12 short years (1933-1945).
