talents- I wouldn't use that word. By being a professional, you need to know solid facts, and acquire the knowledge and tactics-specifically hands on learning to make the process easier. I would suggest, depending on your age, apprenticing at a Sea Pocket lab-dissecting, learning about anatomy to begin with, then do a bit of extra homework on something that interests you-like what is the difference between a bull dog and a labrador- vets works with animals, so I guess you could look up anything. So the more you look for, the more you will have. Good luck. but you do need humanity, and a love for pets, and a knowledge of anatomy no question.

There are many attributes that veterinarians need to have but I am going to list the most important ones:

1.Good with people. Many times a client will come in and want you to fix their pet there on the spot. You have to be patient and work with them. or if they have financial issues that need to be taken care of. These are just two examples. Another is if the person refuses a treatment that their pet really needs

2.Communication skills. This kinda goes with the answer above but also if you have a technician you need to be able to clearly explain what that animals needs.

3. Observant. Every symptom in an animal is crucial. One tiny symptom that is missed can kill that animal.

4. Decisive. You can't be like "it might be this but it also could be that." You need to be clear and sure and treat as you see fit and not let the owner sway you.

5. hard-working. Some animals can take over a year to treat and some can take a month just to figure out what they have. Plus, with their owner's pressure, it is important that you put your full effort into helping that animal.

6. Studious. Without good grades, you can become a veterinarian. You may be able to become a technician but it is hard to become a full veterinarian with mediocre grades.
