When the temperature is 47 degrees, NOTHING is in danger of freezing !
It should turn on at 210 degrees F.
There should be a dial on the front of the heater that you set the temp. with.
We just bought a 1999 Deville, so I can't help with other years. The system is the best! You don't choose heat or cool. After you choose auto or on, you raise or lower the temp. If you turn the temp lower than the outside temp, the air conditioner will cool and if you turn the temp up higher than the outside temp, the heat will come on. I love it! No more cold air blowing on me to cool down. It is true "climate control" with sensors doing all the work!
The track on the outside of the turn has to turn faster
There's actually an on/off button for the temp/compass display on the mirror. It is the button located on the left front of the mirror itself. Push this and the display should turn on.
Temp/speed displayThere should be a small button on top of the turn signal lever on the left side of the steering wheel. Push that down and it will change from speed to temp. Hope this helps... [EDIT] This is only true if you have the optional trip computer, if you do not have this option installed that display will only show outside temperature.
Turn off with the temp button, BUT HOLD FOR 5 SECONDS, it should change
You can turn the temperature of the AC up but if you turn the fan part of the AC up "high" or "low" it will only make it colder.
0 degrees celcius
That indicates the engine temp is running to low: the computer should give a check engine light and often the temp gauge will not work either. you need to replace the thermostat
The A/C does have an on/off switch. You are feeling the incoming air that is flowing through the vehicle whether the A/C is on or not. That is why it gets hot when you set the temp to hot. Set it to cool and turn the A/C off and you will feel the air temp of the incoming air whatever the outside temp is. Start the engine raise the hood, look at the compressor. If it is not turning it is off.
