The vehicle was factory equipped with a 195 degree thermostat. The early C4 Corvettes had to run hot to burn off emissions and meet federal standards.
Remove the water supply hose from the top of your 1984 Chevy Corvette thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. The old thermostat will lift out. Put the new thermostat in and reverse the process.
