There were no "guns" in the days of the writings of The Bible [with the possible exception of some visions a prophet or two may have had... like maybe one Ezekiel had. But if what he saw was a gun, he didn't know what to call it].
In Ezekiel 9, he mentions men with "destroying" weapons in their hands [verse 1]. And calls them "slaughter" weapons in the next verse:
"...every man a slaughter weapon in his hand...".
He doesn't call them a "sword" or "spear" or any other word denoting a weapon with which he was otherwise familiar.
"...I will draw out a sword after them." (Ezek.5:2)
"...A sword, a sword is sharpened..." (Ezek.21:9).
Perhaps Ezekiel's vision was more futuristic than some might imagine... and these may have been modern "guns"
In any event, guns weren't invented yet... so, "gun control" wasn't a biblical issue.
Swords were a common weapon to carry around in those days... but there didn't seem to be any attempts by the government to control their distribution; as even Jesus commanded His disciples:
"...if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and BUY ONE." (Luke 22:35-36 NIV)

There are already about 20,000 Federal, State, and local gun laws on the books in the US. Gun control laws frequently do little except keep law abiding people from being able to defend themselves.
