To keep the engine from over revving and destroying itself.
A fuel injector's current draw, measured in amps, is a function of the fuel injector's actual impedance. Your answer is then necessarily dependent upon the impedance of your injectors. To determine your injector's draw, simply divide voltage by ohms. That is, given a 12v circuit and an injector with 12 ohms resistance, the draw is 1 amp (12 divided by 1).
I believe the fuel injector timing is set by the car's computer which take information from various parts operating in the engine to tell the injector when to operate. Everything must be in spec. to get the injector's timing right. It's a team effort of the components to keep efficiency and to function with regards to specified emmissions.
because it is stainless so when it is stainless the dirt will not stick on the tank coz wen the tank is dirty the injector will not function well
You can remove the injector, on your C 12 Caterpillar diesel engine, by removing the injector rail. Remove the retaining nut and the injector will come out.
Found what? If the injector is leaking, no O Ring will fix that. Replace the injector.
If it is just one injector, it is a bad injector or a problem in the wiring harness or connector for that injector. If it is all of the injectors, it could be a fuse, the entire injector harness, a broken loose or unplugged connector on the injector harness, or the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator.

The 1993 Ford F2 50 pickup truck injector solenoid is attached to the injector fuel pump. The injector solenoid should be labeled as such.
MIght be the injector itself.
to reset an injector , is a specialist job if injector is faulty, it needs replacing
