Probably a loose or worn belt. Repairing the problem will vary, depending on how the belt tensioning is designed on your vehicle.
When the engine first starts, the alternator is required to create more electrical energy to re-charge the battery from the requirements of starting the engine. As the alternator works harder, it requires more torque from the engine and if the belt isn't adjusted properly or if it's worn, you can get a TERRIBLE noise.
