Yes; far too many to attempt to enumerate fully. The New Testament phrase, "It is written..." indicates that an Old Testament quote is to follow, and the phrase appears sixty-three times in the King James version of the New Testament.
In the Old Testament, anointing someone with oil symbolizes consecration or setting them apart for a specific purpose, such as a priest or king. It also signifies the pouring out of God's blessings and empowerment on that individual for the task ahead.
Something that is called in the old testament "shemen hamishha" which in translation to English means "anointing oil". the oil has specific ingredients that is mentioned in the old testament.
Saul, the farmer boy of the Old Testament Unable to find Saul being anointed king and prophet. The man Christ Jesus was anointed prophet, priest, and king, but I can find no other reference to any other person. Saul was only anointed king, as was David and Solomon, etc.
The word Messiah comes from the Hebrew word for 'anointed'. The word Christ is the Greek equivalent, again meaning 'anointed'. The Old Testament never mentions Jesus at all, so it therefore never calls him the Messiah. The New Testament was written entirely in Greek and does call Jesus the Christ, the Greek equivalent to the Messiah.
