What three things make a computer powerful?

There are more than three, but I'll try and pick the three most important - assuming cost is irrelevant.

A good CPU

SSDs in RAID 0 configuration (the more the better up to certain point)

Eliminate ALL bottlenecks (generally addressed with a good motherboard)

Of course, as I said there are more than three, and if you're planning on some hardcore gaming, a good GPU is definitely up there, but those three are what's going to give you all round performance (along with some RAM, of course :P)

Motherboard because it can only support so much RAM. RAM because if you don't have enough RAM your processing speed can't be as fast. Fans is the last. The cooler your hardware is the better it can run.
