Almost all major Zoos are open everyday of the week. They are usually closed for specific days, such as Christmas, or another holiday that is important to the region, and have certain hours that are specific to the season, and the individual zoo's attendance. Some zoos may close in part or completely during different times of the year, either for repair work on the facility to be completed, or due to the weather and it's effect on many animals. It's recommended that you check with the zoo of interest regarding their daily schedule, and specific hours for visitors, or exhibits, and any details concerning special events they may host during holidays.

If you are asking what are the operational hours of a zoo - that all depends on the zoo in which you want to visit. Our (St. Louis mo) zoo doesn't close (except on specific holidays) but has certain hours of operation. And; it's FREE admittance and a majority of the parking is also free.
