Radishes can be grown year round but they do better during the winter and the spring times. During the summertimes (dry months) radishes have a tendency to taste more bitter or if the particular radish is spicy, like a daikon, more spicy or more peppery. During the season however, they are sweeter. When harvested during the winter months, they usually have a larger shape. Spring radishes tend to be smaller. Varietal radishes are usually found in grocery stores from the winter months (Nov-Dec) through the spring months (Mar-Apr).
Radish is a cold season plant. When the air is 50 degrees F. to about 65 degrees F. radish grows well. So it depends where you live.
