Hamsters can chew on gnawing sticks that you will find at pet stores. They can also chew on wooden huts that you will also find in pet stores. NEVER GIVE YOUR HAMSTER A STICK THAT YOU FIND OUTSIDE. THAT CAN LEAD TO DEATH. There can be many parasites and bugs inside the stick. If you do feel that you think that the stick is okay, peel of the bark and soak in water then bake it at 350 degrees F.

Hamsters can chew on sticks from the yard if they are from non toxic trees like an oak, if you know they have not been chemically treated. Put the sticks in the oven for a little while to make sure they do not have any mites on them. I always gave mine the cardboard rolls from the center of toilet paper and paper towels. The wood toys at the pet store are generally pretty inexpensive.
An apple tree branch is best but you can get pieces of wood for about 3 dollars at the pet store.
Carrots , Lettuce , Cucumber , and Yogurt drops. ( That's what I give them for a snack )
Hamsters may chew furniture to make bedding but not to eat it.
Any hamster can chew on cardboard. Just be careful and make sure the hamster is safe so he doesn't chew a hole out of it to escape or whatever :)))
yes it is natural for hamsters to do this as it keeps them ocupied.
Yes, like apple orchid chew sticks right? They can definitely eat that I give it to my hamster
If you have a wire cage, your hamster can chew on it all the time. Make sure you give him/her enough chew sticks. Your hamster needs enough things to chew on so that his/her front teeth don't grow too long then they won't be able to eat and pass away. On the other hand, if you have a like a cardboard box, (I'm pretty sure no one does) it is not OK yo let you hamster chew on its cage because they can chew a whole right threw the box then your hamster is gone.
Is cuttlefish bone safe for hamsters to chew on
There are products available at pet stores like " n-bone chew treats" and "all natural chew treats"
No They Will Die.

Hamster can and will chew on a variety of objects. Hamsters are rodents and chew to keep their teeth short. Cardboard is a material hamsters seem to enjoy. Cardboard itself is not harmful to hamsters, but it is possible the ink or glue used in the manufacturing of the product's boxes may health problems. However, many people provide their hamsters with boxes for chewing, hiding, or entertainment with no adverse effects.
No. If you have a metal cage, it can't chew through it unless it's a squirrel ;)
No, they'll chew through it and escape.
No, that is a completely ridiculous lie.
Yes. It helps them wear their teeth down.
Hamsters will chew on anything. Some hamsters are chewers and others are not interested. They will chew on plastic, wood, metal and pretty much anything else if they want to. They need to chew to keep their incisors down as they grow. I've seen some pretty crazy chewing and I've yet to have seen a hamster break his teeth. Try some chews toys if you have a chewer. Little non-flavored Milkbones are always a favourite.
