That's a question only your MD can answer.
YOu really need to talk to your doctor or nurse about this as you have not said why you cannot hear a heartbeat.
I'm at 6 week and 4 day, the fetal heartbeat was 114, and my doctor said that normal, so don't worry & get relax.
I just went in for my ultra sound this morning. I am 8 weeks and 2 days and the heartbeat was 177 my doctor said that it was normal.
Ok, think. If it wasn't possible the doctor couldn't do it. They can even operate on a baby before its born.
My doctor said that they wasn't going to listen for a heartbeat when I was 11 weeks pregnant because It was too soon and they probably wouldn't hear anything anyway.
No, honey. Your baby is way to teeny for that! You can't even remotley hear a baby's heartbeat with a good Doppler before 9 or 10 weeks! So don't worry! Besides if the Dr. thought anything was wrong he would have told you! Look at it this way.... if you were 5 weeks along at your last Dr. appt. than your next appointment should be scheduled 4 weeks later which will make you 9 weeks. The doctor might not try to get the baby's heartbeat but ASK HIM TO anyhow! The doctor didn't try mine and he said 9 weeks could be too early to hear it but he tried and got it with not to much difficulty. So tell them a friend heard her baby at 9wks and 5 days and you would like him to try! OK? Good luck on your pregnancy!Pam
He was late beacause he couldnt make it.Odysseus said he had more important stuff to do.

Can you see a babies heartbeat by looking at the mothers neck?" yes, it is said to be a myth of a old wise tale being told.
One Direction has never publically said if they like the tv show Doctor Who or not, however, since they have never made a public statement about it, only fans can find out at this point by writing fan mail to them to find out.
You did not indicate what week you were at in your question. I am at six weeks one day today, and went to my doctor today for an ultrasound. I had one twin with a fetal pole and a heartbeat that was about four times the size of the other one, which had the gestational and yolk sac but no detectable heartbeat. My doc said that there is a possibility that the smaller one will not be viable (that it may have arrested), but that a followup ultrasound in two weeks is necessary to see if there is growth. The ultrasound tech said that she has seen fraternal twins implant at different times, thus resulting in different size sacs and different rates of growth. Assuming you are not far along, I don't think the size itself or lack of a heartbeat is definitive of having lost one of them, and they will probably be able to tell at a repeat U/S. You can also look up the concept of a vanishing twin - it is apparently a common phenomenon. In most instances, it is not harmful to the remaining twin when it occurs early on.
