The tail lights on my 1993 Mercury Cougar dont work. All other lights and signals work including the rear turn singals and the hazards.?
If you have not done so, check the tail light bulbs. The Cougar uses a multi-function bulb, with separate elements for brake lights and directionals. It is possible for one element to burn out, while the other is still intact. To get at the bulbs, pull up the trunk liner in the corners. The bulbs are easilly accessable, and come out with a quarter turn.
