If the refrigerator water is filtered, then it would be different from the tap water coming from the sink.
corrosion somewhere between the boiler and the tap (or in the boiler) is most likely. Give it a good clean- look on the internet for how to get the rust off it. Good luck sexy!
Is the water not hot? Or no water coming out the hot tap? not comming out at all
The water is probably frozen in the pipe

see a plumber
You never know that tap water or well water is safe unless it has been lab tested. In wells especially this should be done annually.
The water coming from the tap is above 0 degrees Celsius so it warms the ice causing it to melt and become water.
it is heavier due to its faster speed coming down
Due to low pressure, there was just a trickle of water coming from the tap.
I think it has something to with your pipes not your water. Your pipes are must probably rusty and it is coming out in the water.
Because in order to distill the water, many chemicals are added to it in order to purify the water. Tap water is almost coming straight out of the ground or other areas without being purified as much as distilled water.
