Drain out the excess. Too much oil will damage the engine.

Check the oil/fuel mix and make sure you have it mixed to the correct ratio. Else, try raising the blade on the lawn mower. If you have the lawn mower blade too low, mowing tall grass, it can make too much work for the mower and will cause it to overheat.
My lawn mower smokes when it has too much oil in it or when the oil is watery. Try changing the oil.

If it is a 2-stroke engine, the oil/gas mixture has too much oil. If it is a 4-stroke engine, the oil sump is overfull.
One reason that a lawn mower may begin to smoke is that the oil chamber is too full. Spark plugs that have burnt oil and are not cleaned can create smoke and other exhaust issues.
Mine doesn't smoke after adding oil, it runs great. Does yours? Maybe you put too much oil in it or the wrong thickner?
You will do serious damage to any 4 engine that you overfill. Drain out the excess oil immediately.

Blue smoke indicates the engine is burning oil. If it is a 2-stroke, the fuel/oil mixture has too much oil. If it is a 4-stroke, there is too much oil in the reservoir or the valve seal are leaking, or the piston rings are worn.
no... for there to be white smoke there is water in your combustion chamber if there was too much oil it would be black smoke Black smoke is usually to much fuel and blueish white is oil. So yes it is possible that it is oil in the combustion chamber.
