Not really. They arent magnetic. But on some laptops, especially newer ones, the laptop sreen is held closed by magnets so to replace the conventional locking hinge and its slot on the computer so no damage occures on the hinge while also giving it an attractive look.
Actually, if it has speakers they are most certainly magnets and the hard drive also has very strong magnets in it (unless is an SSD). Any electric motor also has magnets and is an electromagnet under power.

On the gray side of the magnet, if you take out a magnet and put it next to a magnet things you put on the fridge, It sticks to it! You see, the magnet's force is invisible so u can't see it. Or if you put it next to a magnet that sticks to that magnet, You might feel it's force or not. I tried it once :).
