If you can manage to keep your hair clean and nourished, dandruff can be eliminated. There are many basic remedies that you can take to keep your hair dandruff free. Apart from making your hair lustrous and shiny, the optimized oil levels keep the scalp nourished while the vigorous massage aids better blood circulation, exfoliates the scalp of dead skin build up. A teaspoon of fresh lime juice in the last hair rinse combined with a light weight conditioner can also be effective to treat dandruff. Furthermore, this adds much needed luster to the hair as well. From my experience, the best permanent cure for dandruff is to wash your hair with shampoo daily (any type will do!) to keep it clean. Secondly, a lot of people cannot get rid of dandruff is simply because they tend to use their fingernails or comb to scratch their itchy scalp and thus destroying the fragile scalp layer which will then shed off as dandruff. The trick is don't touch the itchy scalp in order to let your "injured" scalp heal even when it is very itchy! When you noticed that your dandruff is getting bigger, it is a sign that you are on your way of curing your dandruff as the affected part is now fully healed. I cured my 20 years of dandruff using this simple and common sense method.
