If you think you may have Diabetes, the best thing to do is to see your doctor.

Diabetes is a condition that affects the endocrine system of the body and is not an infection. It is caused by a dysfunction of the beta cells in the pancreas. This can be genetically caused or developed later in life due to obesity. Some people have to give themselves daily injections of a chemical that helps them control their blood sugar called insulin. And others can control their diabetes by diet and exercise.

There are two types of diabetes, type 1 and type 2. Type 1 typically starts when a child and the pancreas just stops working and the person needs insulin injections or insulin via a pump. This can be caused by genetics or by a trauma triggering it ie illness or accident. Type 2 can also run in families but is generally a lifestyle thing ie over weight, unfit but normal weight or skinny people can also get type 2 so it is not always overweight people. This is where the pancreas cannot work to it's full potential so some help is needed either in the form of diet alone or diet and tablets or in some cases by insulin. Diabetes is normally diagnosed with the following symptoms, over thirsty, going to the toilet a lot, sweats, feeling dizzy and/or weak and tired.

Make some lifestyle changes (no alcohol, no smoking, exercise, etc).

Make some dietary changes (limit intake of simple sugar, fats; eat freshly made foods, mostly whole grains, fruits and vegetables).

Take some herbal teas that help reducing blood sugar.

If cannot manage with the use of above natural steps, drugs are a must (insulin is needed at the very first of diagnosing type 1 diabetes).

Type 2:You become very careful about what you eat, exercise, and managing your disease. Type 1: You take insulin through either shots or by an insulin pump. You have to monitor blood sugars and count carbs. Diabetes has many very serious complications if managed incorrectly, including retinal failure, blindness, peripheral neuropathy, increased risks of Heart disease and stroke, and peripheral vascular disease.

If you get diabetes you have to make sure to keep it under control.

Which means to maintain the blood sugar levels from 80 mg/dl to 120 mg/dl.

Not lees than 80 mg/dl and not more than 120 mg/dl.

If you successfully achieved the number above, you do not have to worry about diabetes.

well if a person has diabetes type 1 then they try to keep their blood sugar as consistent as possible by checking their blood with a device that pricks your finger and draws blood. this device tells you what your blood sugar is. to keep it consistent, you should eat a small snack every few hours.

Diabetes is a serious life changing condition. If you have it you need to be under the treatment of a qualified medical practitioner (a Doctor) not asking for help and advice about it on the internet.

There are only two treatments for diabetes:

  • Diet and exercise if your diabetes is mild and easily controlled
  • Medication such as insulin or metformin if it is more severe

You need to see a doctor to treat your diabetes, not some random person on the internet.

The symptoms of diabetes seem to be so mild that most people ignore them. If you suspect that you have diabetes your best bet is to go to your physician for a checkup.
